screams

relation to Macbeth
the main character is like Macbeth in the way she’s like a tragic hero. She has a fatal flaw is her curiosity making her go against her better judgment, like Macbeth has a power for hunger making him go against his better judgment and so both main characters dies yay and has tragic end! Yo lol this sucks gdgdhtrj
; D fun!
short story
I jerk my head through the window, trying to catch what has recently been howling throughout my neighborhood, a sharp streak hurls out from the new arrival’s yard. Every night since my neighbour had moved into the house across the street, I was hearing the noise. I futilely tried asking around, but nought, no one knew. It kept bugging me, I was staying awake all night restlessly inquiring about what could possibly be going on? It had occurred to me that I could go visit the neighbour, but the thought frightened me. What if the new neighbor was a psychopath? Is it even the right thing to do? What if they killed me the second I said hello? What if I didn’t find something… what if I did, the screaming might be people being tortured? Too many questions, not enough answers. And only one way to find out…
A dark lean gloomy hallway stretches in front of m. Why am I here? I frantically swipe my gaze left, right, left, right. I feel my hairs on the back of my neck prickles upwards. A shock of terror hits me, as it feels as if I’m being watched. The hallway is getting darker and darker. I huff a little as I am getting more tired the further I go on. I really should leave, but my feet lead me on, siding with my burning passion to figure out what in the world is going on.
I squint ahead and I finally spot a door. I hadn’t seen any doors since I walked in, which I thought quite odd. There was a mirror next to it. The mirror being quite tall and looking very antique. I start to run a little to get there but I end up fast walking as I don’t want to make any noise. As I look into the mirror, I gasp, my reflection isn’t showing up?
There’s a note on the top left of the window. It’s written in an eerie red handwriting, “Don’t look into her eyes.”
I shudder- there’s something going on and I’m not so sure anymore that I want to find out. I decide to investigate a little more, just to fulfill my curiosity, and then I’ll get out of here. I look a little deeper at the mirror. Who is she? What’s in her eyes? The thoughts spiral in my mind. I want to figure this out, but I can’t. I need to. I stare intensely in my thoughts. Movement. My mind is back to reality! Just in time to see a blurred face of a girl with a blonde pigtail. I gasp I turn around. Was this the girl the note was talking about? Surely not, it was just a little girl. I peek into the room its just a boring room with an old bed in it. I’m still creeped out by what I saw in the mirror, but I’ve decided It doesn’t matter anymore as I’m getting out of here.
I start to sprint a little back down the hallway and then stop suddenly in my tracks. In the distance I see a blurry outline of a little girl with pigtails siting on a chair. As I approach, I
notice she’s tied to the chair with some kind of thick black rope. Her eyes are closed, and I decide to sidestep her keeping my eyes on her. I get a metre away from her she capriciously opens her eyes I quickly look away, but I want to know why they said not to look, it couldn’t be that bad, I’ll look for a second. I take my hands on my eyes and I galk it’s like I’m staring into the abyss her eyes contain nothing? She smiles creepily but I don’t mind as I’m lost trying to find something. My brain hurts, I try and pull my eyes away. I can’t. I try and try. It hurts. Or even it’s the lack of anything

It all goes black. I don’t know when, I opened my eyes to an old nice-looking lady. She oddly looks familiar. She has pigtails. I look around at where I am. I’m in a nice room, on a warm cozy antique bed, one you’d expect an old lady to have. “Where am I?”
“Hello?” she looks at me kindly, “Oh I found you at my front door passed out, I didn’t know what to do, so I put you in here.”
“Really!??” I galk, not believing this old lady carried me all the way to her room. “Err, thank you?”
She turns away, “Did you have any dreams?”
What a weird thing to ask….? Though, maybe everything that just happened was a dream…but it felt so vivid and real.
“Oh yeah, I think I did?” I reply awkwardly.
“hmm, what was it about” she reply’s soothingly.
“Oh,” I realise she’s probably trying to make this situation less awkward.
“It was dark, and I was walking down a long hallway and there was a child and her eyes were really …. I dunno.”
She nods sadly and looks down.
“You should have listened,” was that hoarseness I heard she looks up suddenly and I scream.

Recently, I've been hearing screams and cruel laughter at nighttime coming from my neighborhoods yard I've gone over to ask but the person you live there hasn’t replied. I really want to know what's going on and it’s been bugging me, so I feel the only way to find out what's going on is to go into the house.
- I notice a mirror which is odd there has been no doors in the hall way so far and now’s theres a mirror I assume half way through? I get to the mirror it does reflect the wall behind me but it isn’t reflecting me?
